Health and Safety Policy

WE CAN HELP YOU ADAPT

While many of us are still unsure of when we will be returning to work, what is clear is that all businesses must complete a risk assessment on their premises prior to staff returning and ensure the relevant policies are in place.

Above all, we advise that you continue to follow government advice at all times in order to avoid a potential outbreak at your workplace.

Many of our clients have been using Safety for Work to adapt to remote working and using this time to get staff up to speed with working at home safely and/or other compliance training, but when the restrictions are slowly lifted and businesses are allowed to resume some normal working practices, you will need to consider some possible changes to workplaces to keep employees safe.

HOW CAN WE HELP?

The first and important step we can help with is to develop and document a COVID-19 Health & Safety Policy. This policy sets out how you are going to prevent and control the transmission of COVID-19 within the workplace. The policy starts with a statement of intent in which you set out your commitment to managing the risks from COVID-19. This policy is agreed at the most senior level to ensure that there is a complete commitment to the policy from the entire business. The rest of the policy will focus on:

  • The health and safety rules
  • Working from home
  • Returning to work
  • Controls and measures
